Bella Inspired Grace Receives Blogger Recognition Award!

**Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you choose to make a purchase.

I must say I was totally surprised when Joan nominated me for The Blogger Recognition Award. Joan's blog, My Best Friend Adeline, is a daily dose of everything that is right and good in the world. Joan's kindness, compassion, and warmth inspire me on a daily basis, remind me to never give up, and to always share sunshine with those around you.

The requirements for the award are:

  • Thank the blogger that nominated you
  • Write a post to show your award
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers
  • Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them, and provide the link to the post you’ve created.

How Bella Inspired Began

I began Bella Inspired Grace as a creative outlet.  I have had several others blogs and have always enjoyed writing.  I also have an intense love of planners, notebooks, journaling, and all things related (pens, washi tape, and so on).  After having my little girl, I also suffered severe postpartum depression.  My hope with my blog is to inspire others to work through their lives with positivity and journaling as a means to create a life of their design.

I hope to learn a little grace in the process and the most surprising part of the journey has been how supportive the blogging community has been.  Maybe I'd read one to many articles about internet trolls, but I have not encountered anything like that. (Thank Goodness!) Joan is just one such example, but I'm part of a #BloggersUnite group that has not only helped grow my following but also been a great source of technical help, advice, and inspiration to keep on keeping on.

For full disclosure, I'd also like to eventually make money at this.  So if you like what I write and want to either use the same stuff or read the same books, use my affiliate links!  Sorry, shameless plug...😝😊😘

Advice for New Bloggers

I would start with a free blogging platform first.  I personally like Blogger because you can monetize without paying a cent.  Read more about my thoughts about this here.  Wordpress is great but you cannot monetize without getting on a paid plan.

Make sure your blog name and social media handles all align.  This is SUPER important, I believe.  It keeps branding consistent and for people to find you across platforms.

Put your links at the top and bottom of your blog - people will always be able to click to find you in other places without searching around.
