A little late with my September reading list, but I did quit one job, start another, and have just generally been really busy.
This is such a different type of story from the woman that brought us The Twilight Series. A former US government employee on the run from "The Department" because she knows too many secrets and knows how to make anyone give them to her. She doesn't use traditional torture to break people just chemistry. A fascinating read that does include a love twist.
I finished off this series with Book 2 and 3. Time travel has always been so interesting to me especially if you consider the repercussions if things in the past were to change. The time travelers in this series take special care to not alter history; they just take back artifacts to the future. Book 1 is set in 1920s Paris and goes back to the old haunts of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, and Gertrude Stein. Book 2 features a mission in modern day New York in which Stassi is confronted by her past and begins falling in love with a straggler from her adventure in the 1920s. Book 3 takes them back to the mid-1500s and the time of Lady Jane Grey's short rule. Although a bit more young adult reading than I typically care for, I was totally absorbed and can't wait for another book!
We all know how much I love journaling, bullet journaling, and writing in general. This was a great find for both the novice and the expert. Love her pictures and ideas for creating all things bujo!
